Lady Tigers XC finishes 3rd in Region Championship Meet – Croft Wins with Personal Best

The Douglas County Lady Tigers Cross-Country team finished yesterday’s Region 5-AAAAAA championship meet in 3rd place.  The Lady Tigers were led by Junior runner, McKenna Croft, who finished the race a full minute ahead of the 2nd place finisher.  Croft also ran a personal best time of 17:51, a time that elapsed her previous personal

Cross-Country defeats Pebblebrook

DC Boys & Girls Cross-Country teams were victorious in their meet vs. Pebblebrook on Thursday.  McKenna Croft placed 1st for the girls, while Wataru Yamagishi finished 1st for the boys.  Other noteable finishers for the Tigers included Nina Henry (2nd) & YaYa Molina-Castro (4th) for the girls and Antonius Ben (4th) & Jacob Adams (7)

Lady Tigers Volleyball ready for 1st Rd. of State Tournament

The Lady Tigers will begin their quest for the school’s first Volleyball State Championship this Saturday when they take on Gainesville High School at Allatoona High School.  The match will begin at 11 am.  The Lady Tigers are the #2 seed from Region 5.  Gainesville is the #3 seed from Region 8. Competition Cheer finishes 3rd at Carrollton cheer competition

The Douglas County High School Competition Cheer squad continues to show improvement with each competition. At Saturday’s competition at Carrollton High School, the Lady Tigers earned a score of 72.5, an increase of 2.5 points from 2 weeks prior.  An improved score, with 0 deductions, proved good enough to earn the Lady Tigers a 3rd

Tigers defeat Tri-Cities to remain unbeaten in region

The Douglas County Tigers fought off a gritty Tri-Cities Bulldogs squad to improve their overall record to 7-1 for the season.  The Tigers also maintained their number one position in Region 5-AAAAAA.  The Tiger offense was led by Senior QB Marquisse’ Collins, who completed 9 of 13 passes for 162 yards and 1 touchdown.  Senior

The Lady Tigers showed toughness & resilience as they were forced to bounce back from a 1-0 deficit to South Paulding in the region semifinals.  The Lady Tigers powered past the Lady Spartans in the final 2 games (25-13, 25-21).  The Lady Tigers would move on to the championship match, where they would eventually fall
