Lady Tigers Comp Cheer headed to state competition

 The Douglas County Tigers Competition Cheer squad will be competing in the GHSA State competition cheer championships this Saturday in Columbus, GA.  The Lady Tigers earned a trip to the state championship by finishing 3rd in last week’s Region championship in Carrollton.

Tiger Sharks win county swim meet

The Douglas County boys & girls swim teams, also known as the “Tiger Sharks”, defeated Alexander, Chapel Hill, Lithia Springs and New Manchester in a county swim meet at Boundary Waters Aquatic Center in Douglasville. DC Competition Cheer qualifies for State

The Douglas County Competition Cheer squad earns a 3rd place finish in Saturday’s Area cheer competition at the University of West Georgia.  The Lady Tigers 3rd place finish qualifies them for the State cheer competition in Columbus next Friday, November 9th.

The Douglas County Lady Tigers Cross-Country team finished yesterday’s Region 5-AAAAAA championship meet in 3rd place.  The Lady Tigers were led by Junior runner, McKenna Croft, who finished the race a full minute ahead of the 2nd place finisher.  Croft also ran a personal best time of 17:51, a time that elapsed her previous personal

Cross-Country defeats Pebblebrook

DC Boys & Girls Cross-Country teams were victorious in their meet vs. Pebblebrook on Thursday.  McKenna Croft placed 1st for the girls, while Wataru Yamagishi finished 1st for the boys.  Other noteable finishers for the Tigers included Nina Henry (2nd) & YaYa Molina-Castro (4th) for the girls and Antonius Ben (4th) & Jacob Adams (7)

Lady Tigers Volleyball ready for 1st Rd. of State Tournament

The Lady Tigers will begin their quest for the school’s first Volleyball State Championship this Saturday when they take on Gainesville High School at Allatoona High School.  The match will begin at 11 am.  The Lady Tigers are the #2 seed from Region 5.  Gainesville is the #3 seed from Region 8.
