Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · Tigers Track & Field finishes 1st at Fastest Kid on the Block – Lady Tigers finish 2nd


The Douglas County Track & Field teams had very impressive performances at the Fastest Kid on the Block meet, held at Spalding High School, on Saturday.  The boys team won the event with a total 144 points. Key finishers for the boys included:

4 x 100 relay – 1st place (Isaiah Stephens, Travis Collier, Trent Davis & Jeremiah Burston)

300m Dash – 1st place (Demarcus Hix)

400m Dash – 1st place (Isaiah Stephens)

200m Dash – 1st place (Trent Davis), 2nd place (Justin Franklin), 3rd place (Travis Collier)

Shot Put – 1st place (Julian Dailey)

Discus – 1st place (Julian Dailey)

800m Dash – 2nd place (Antonius Benn)

 

With a total of 120 points, the Lady Tigers finished 2nd at the meet.  Key finishers for the Lady Tigers included:

300m Dash – 1st place (Chelsey Thomas)

4 x 100m relay – 1st place

100m Dash – 3rd place (Toni Eason)

200m Dash – 3rd place (Yasmine Thomas)

400m Dash – 3rd place (Yasmine Thomas)

4 x 400m relay – 3rd place

 

Both teams will return to action on Thursday at the Bannerker Home Invite meet, held at Banneker High School.
